The Maxwell Scholarship

Kate knows the doors that STEM education opened for her and seeks to create similar opportunities for others.

The Maxwell Scholarship has been offered annually since its inception in 2014. The scholarship is awarded in support of women in Indiana pursuing higher education in computing and engineering programs.

    This $2,500 scholarship is awarded in support of a woman pursuing higher education in a computing or engineering program.

    The scholarship is open to Indiana residents who identify as female. Applicants must be accepted or actively enrolled in a post-secondary program related to computing or engineering.

    Eligible programs of study include: computer science, artificial intelligence & machine learning, cybersecurity, data science, robotics, engineering degree programs, and related computing & engineering fields.

    Applications must be submitted no later than August 31st of the award year. The recipient will be announced during Indiana Women IN Tech Week (September 13-20, 2026).

    By submitting your application, you agree that if you are a scholarship finalist, the selection committee may reach out to your academic institution to verify enrollment and academic performance. You also agree that if selected as a winner, your name can be used for award announcements in print and online media.
